Hamish's bronze sculpture of Highland Goats was inspired by a trip to the Isle of Ulva in the Hebrides, home of the Clan MacQuarrie. With their long hair and splayed horns, a billy and a nanny goat climb nimbly up a cliff. An otter's head emerges at the bottom of the rocks, into which are carved stone markings in reference to the island's Neolithic past.

The concept of telling stories within sculpture is evident in this piece, which builds a compelling narrative. Hamish evokes a strong sense of place, the windswept landscape that resonates with stories of Vikings and a Celtic people, and where wildlife has evolved to thrive in the tough environment. These proud Highland Goats are available in Limited Edition.
