The gallery has established a network of highly skilled conservators who work in all areas of oil and paper conservation. We also recognise the importance of Framing, lighting and hanging pictures so that they can be displayed and enjoyed to their full potential. We are always happy to arrange for clients work to benefit from the same craftsmanship and attention that our own inventory receives to ensure that all restoration and framing meet our own standards.  Please contact the gallery for advice on:

Framing

Restoration of period frames as well as supply of new frames and wash line mounts for watercolours.

Conservation

Both oils and works on paper.

Lighting

We can advise on different lighting applications and source specialist lighting solutions for individual pictures and collections.

Hanging

Whether installing a new acquisition or embarking on a rehang of an existing collection we have are happy to advise and supply specialist technicians to carry out all aspects of hanging artworks.

Valuation

Whether for insurance, sale, or family division we are delighted to advise on all aspects of valuation work and will either carry out the work ourselves or refer you to more appropriate specialist valuers if required.

Sale at auction

Having worked as an auctioneer and founded an online auction house in Wiltshire we are well placed to know when items are better suited to auction rather than being sold in a gallery. We are more than happy to help clients explore and navigate the best route to market and can provide independent advice to help with decision making.
