William Miller Frazer RSA

1864 - 1961

Born Scone, Perthshire, died Edinburgh. Landscape painter and highly influenced by his many visits to Algeria, Holland, Italy and Norway. It is said his work has a feeling of Corot about it. Fond of the Norfolk Broads, the Fens and the lowlands of Scotland, Fife in particular. Founder member of the SSA of which he was president in 1908. He was one of the best loved artists of his day and spent most of his time at his house in Findhorn. Exhibited at the RSA throughout his life and also at the RA, RSW, GI and RBA.
